Holistic Wellness For You!

What is health we ask?

Most people think it's doing an extreme workout, going on a diet, eating salads for every meal, and being on some form of medication to feel your best. What health should be is an overall feeling of wellness, getting a full 8 hours of sleep, nourishing yourself properly, dealing with stress effectively, and being able to have energy all day. Why am I so driven for everyday people to be involved in holistic nutrition? They can better their quality of life and eating habits, knowing that what they do now has an impact on their future and that change can eventually be taught to the older and younger generations.

Well, how do we get there?

I will inform everyone on ways we can navigate through the stresses of life, eating well-balanced foods, and educating people about degenerative diseases so they will be less frequent in our lives.

What is a degenerative disease you ask?

Defined by Biology Online “As a disease characterized by the worsening condition due to the deterioration of the function and structure of the affected body part, thus causing disability, mortality, and morbidity, which could be premature.” Almost all of these illnesses and ailments that happen in the body usually stem from the first thing we are introduced to in life which is food. It then becomes part of you physically, mentally, and emotionally all these factors stem from the choices we make. It is important because everything works together especially by what we are ingesting it shows up in our body such as allergic reactions, IBS, and cholesterol. Health problems usually stem from lack of healthy eating or deficiencies so why not start somewhere simple.

The accessibility in today's society with food is widening along with helpful organizations out there such as community co-ops, make for areas that normally didnt have options to receive healthy food. The main goal is for everyone to have an intimate relationship with food that will lead to an understanding of your own body. Not all foods are created equal even the healthiest foods or trends can cause problems so why not understand what they are and learn how to adapt naturally.

There are 3 types of nutrition therapy that will lead you to an overall better quality of life:

1. Preventative: Diet and lifestyle, which means preventing any future concerns to come about and living an overall healthy lifestyle.

2. Palliative: Corrective, at this point something has already gone wrong, and the way to correct it is using food as medicine. Using natural foods from the earth to balance your body back to normalcy.

3. Restorative: Special foods and herbs for cultivating radiant health and feeling your best self.

We want our bodies to be at our best overall health as possible and feeling alive, where if anything goes wrong in our bodies stemming from toxicity then it won’t harm us as much as someone who isn’t living by these simple steps.
